Presentation

MoMOT is an annual linguistics conference that brings together linguists from eastern Canada who conduct research in morphology, morphophonology, and morphosyntax.

The fifth iteration of MoMOT will be held in person at the University of Ottawa on November 12th and 13th, 2021, with live streaming for remote participation. Invited speakers at MoMOT 5 are Will Oxford (University of Manitoba), Andrey Nikulin (University of Ottawa) and Ash Asudeh (Carleton University).

2021 Call for abstracts

One-page abstracts (including references and examples) for 20-minute talks and for posters may be sent until October 22nd (new deadline, extended from October 15th) to kaitire@uottawa.ca. Abstracts should be in PDF format and anonymous, and the accompanying message should have "MoMOT abstract" as subject, and should indicate in the body of the message the title of the abstract, the names of the authors, their institutional link, and whether the abstract is for a talk or a poster. Abstracts (and talks) may be in English or French.

Please note that only posters are eligible for remote presentation (details to follow).

Conference location

MoMOT will be held at Hamelin Hall (70, Laurier Avenue East) at the University of Ottawa (room TBA). The University of Ottawa can be reached quickly and conveniently from the Ottawa Train Station by public transit (OTrain, uOttawa station).

Registration

Registration is free this year, but we ask that all those planning to attend, whether as presenters or as auditors, register by filling this form.

Please note that you need to be fully vaccinated to be on campus, and to declare this fact through this page.
